Bossier Arts Council

In 2022, the director asked Chris to paint the wall along the parking lot in white so that artists could be selected to paint individual murals as part of a collective. Not only did Chris handpaint all of the black line work, but he was also chosen to paint the first mural. He painted a rainbow with paint cans and a crow sits on the top with a paint brush in his beak.

“Blowing Bubbles” is a 25′ x 25′ mural painted by Chris Opp on the south wall of the Bossier Arts Council building.  The artwork that inspired it was by student Ashley Schaffer in Spring 2011.  The Arts Council commissioned renowned professional mural artist Chris Opp — a Bossier City native — to recreate Ashley’s artwork on the wall.  Located in the East Bank District of Bossier City, it is easily viewed from Interstate 20.
